lol my sig rig just rebooted itself. New PSU ordered.

Well, it finally happened: my sig rig rebooted itself. So, I'm not taking any chances and decided to simply order the Corsair HX650W (it was $119.99 shipped from ZipZoomFly).

I am lol'ing because I really don't think I need a new PSU. But I have to admit that I honestly don't know what else it could be.

So, at the very least I will have a new toy!

Oh and I also reset everything back to 100% stock until I install it.

Edit: I was searching for this thread to see how old my HX650 is, and I'm LOL'ing at the original last line and how I never noticed this:

"Oh and I also reset everything back to 100% until I install it."

Back to 100%? What? New, improved, and corrected version:

Oh and I also reset everything back to 100% stock until I install it.

lol Sigh. It's better to correct it late than to never correct it at all!

Possibly. After I completed the order, I admit I sat there thinking, "well y'know, it could be something else." But it's a bit late for that now.

But it looks like you may have more of a generic PSU, so I would certainly suspect the PSU. And if you can afford the HX850W, then all I can say is this: damn you.

That was very lazy of you not to check if it was something else

Least if it is the PSU you will get a new one out of it

I really can't do anything else than facepalm.

Aww I'll admit the hx650 is a nice PSU, but wish you could've seen this before ordering: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-022-_-Product

Hope that fixes your issues, tho.
