Water Cooling or Silent Tower ?

Thread Starter
So heres the deal.

I was thinking to buy the Silent Tower - Thermaltake - plus a rheobus Hardcano 13 - thermaltake - to monitor the 4 fans in my computer (2 * 120mm fans front/back + 1 * 90 mm side fan, and the cpu one). And that would lead me to 110€ more or less.

But, i was also thinking to buy the Big Water SE - Thermaltake - and then upgrade it in order to cool the HDD, Chipset and GPU. That would cost me 170€.
And I would have my computer very, very, quiet.

I can afford right now to buy any of those cooling "systems" but i'd like to know if it would be wort it, to buy the watercooling instead of the Silent Tower. Knowing that I have overclocked 400Mhz my prescott and that in idle i am at 40ºC and full at 50ºC max.

So if know anything about it, let me know.

I would go for water.
For i have my Pressy clocked to 4.081 ((Stock 3.4)) and i have seen a decrease in temps from 29c to 27c idle, since i went to water cooling. Not to mention tons quieter. Also it looks cool.

The Thermaltake kit isn't known for being the greatest. At least you lost the 5°. 45° load is much better then 50° load. If you are looking for better temps with the aquabay you won't get them. It dosn't matter how much liquid is in the system it will all heat up to the same temp.

Well for the temps you have on air you are good so far.And if you go to water and cool the list of items you listed you wont have silent cooling.

It is a balance of neds..and When air cools well it is a safe bet to stay with it.

But if you are into set up, tweeking, and max performance, then using water is great because it gives you all that and better temps.

It really depends on the goals you have for the system..Do you want quiet ? Do you want top performance ? Or a balance in between where you may be currently with the air set up ?

the Big water will work if your running stock or even a little overclock? Is the kit known for leaks and stuff?
