Dont Buy OCZ gold 1600mhz triple channel for your i7 rig - Page 2

My first i7 build had some problems with that ram too. Stopped buying from OCZ since they don't seem to be very consistent with their products.

Again, just because you have bad luck with a set of ram or two, doesn't make it bad. I ran OCZ Reaper DDR2 with my Core 2 Squad system and now running OCZ Reaper 1600 and they work awesome, straight in, proper speeds and timings, no problems. Think before you put your foot in your mouth.

i suggest you do the same pal, im entitled to air my views what ever they may be whether you like it or not, when i'm paying £200+ for a set of ram, i expect them to do exactly what it states it will do.
And if you read my previous post i think you might want to re phrase your comments and think again.

My bad, though you didn't say it in the OP

I've had good experiences putting DDR2 Reapers into friends' rigs, maybe their DDR3's gone down the crapper :\\

my last set of ram for my 775 e8400 were 800mhz OCZ DDR2 Reaper and they were fantastic, 800mhz and i had them stable at 997mhz never bsod on me once,
i just think that collectively OCZ have had and are having consistency problems with the low voltage thats in the i7 make up and alot of the ram is bad
