Going Intel

Thread Starter
Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I've been here. I was an AMD fan, but since I lost my overclocking feelings, I just want a machine that runs quick and good.
Now my pc is in pieces since a while, I just need a new mobo and cpu to get it back online.

So I thought why shouldn't I go Intel this time.. But my budget is limited, so my question is: will I have a good performance with this:

Intel Celeron64 D 355 3.3Ghz (BOX) Socket-775

Abit SG-80 SIS 661FX / FSB800 / Dual DDR400 / AGP8X / SATA150 / 10/100 Lan / 5.1 CH Audio

Thx on beforehand for your reactions!

Larezz

Yes, if your on a limited buget, that seems like a good choice to me, though you might want to invest a little more and get PCIe motherboard (assuming you dont allready have a GFX card allready)

Yeah it seems good, sorry to lose a amd guy. If you are gonna get celeron from what I hear the main reason ppl get them is because they plan on ocing them since they are cheap, but impaired because of the lower cache.

I would try to get a pentium 4 for sure. you'll want at least 512K for a nice responsive system. here's a cheap one with 1Mb L2 cache, which i think you'll appreciate as it will last you longer. just my $0.02

He doesn't want to overclock. He stated that in his post.
