I am HOPING that the x1900 and the G71 really push the envelope. We will be able to tell by looking at F.E.A.R benchmarks, I am thinking. Right now, even an SLI 7800GTX system is pretty much crippled by fear with the eyecandy on. Soft shadows is the devil!
The 7800GTX is more than twice as fast as two 6800Ultras...
The X1900 and whatever nVidia is going to call the G71 are just little speed bumps as they continue to try and one-up the other. The next big deal is gonna be the DirectX 10 cards (the R600 and G80 I guess).
