All good stuff thus far (thank you).

Ohh btw, "E_Dogg" there really isnt any game that I cant run at my native resolution at the moment, I am just concerned that when I get my 2x "GTX 380's" that my Q9650 might be a bottleneck, but im hopeing that it wont be at the resolution im running at.

Hey, it's the OP's money to burn... but with the rig he currently has, there's no point at all, to go i7 just for gaming. Ever.

With that system, he can outlast the Nehalem generation like a breeze.

Plus, if the OP could keep the upgrade itch at bay, I would bet almost anything that the current system he has, will last another 3 years without breaking a sweat.

Everyone giving him advice needs to take into consideration his specific needs. He's a gamer. He runs his games at 1920x1200. The upgrades he mentioned are close to $1000 (without videocards) and will give him what, 2 FPS? Not worth it.

As for bottlenecking two 3xx cards, we have no clue what setup will or won't bottleneck them. But his current setup likely won't.

If i were you, i would wait until the prices came down. Like some other people said, your current rig is pretty much solid right now. Hell it is solid, what game can't you run? As for bottlenecking, we won't know until the 380's are released.

I can't imagine that you'll ever notice any bottlenecking with that CPU. You *might* notice a small FPS drop in benchmarking, but nothing worth a $500+ CPU/mobo upgrade unless you have that much money to burn. And if you do have that much money to burn on a single digit FPS upgrade, feel free to send some my way.
