I got one also and i pretty much have everything down for it sept for the homebrew which you are talking about

Did you get the giga pack?
you can watch tv on it, but you need a $300 locations free tv base station
music
videos (from computer not just UMD's)
surf the net with wi-fi
online gaming with most games

i beleive you need to get a homebrew onto it
but go here, im joined here for all PSP'ers

(not trying to get people away from overclock.net but not many people know a lot about them)

I do not think there is, the hombrew would be more than 32mb, but you should DEFINTLY save for 1GB card, and of course GAMES, o personaly own GTA : LCS (AWSOME) and Socom: fireteam bravo (SICK, and online is awsome with the mic).....

Those are all homebrew or emulators. If you want to play actual PSP games from the Memory Stick, your going to need at least 512MB stick for one game.

Let me advise you too, do not upgrade your PSP's to 2.0+ (2.0, 2.5 or 2.6) because you wont be able to play ANY homebrew games or legit backups of your PSP games from the memory stick.

If you're really interested in getting into your PSP, search the internet and you'll find EVERYTHING you need. The PSP is one of the easiest platforms to mod.

I also got a psp for christmas, but I have to say I'm a bit dissapointed. The games for it aren't very good, except for a few 2 or 3...

don't upgrade past ver 2.00, you can downgrade from 2.00 to 1.50. There are a bunch of emulators. Check out http://pspupdates.qj.net/
