Asus A8R-MVP voltage problem?

Thread Starter
I just installed my new motherboard. It seems to run fine but for some reason the hardware monitor and the Probe software registers that my vcore is running .05 higher voltage. I currently have it at 1.35 and it shows me between 1.38-1.42. I am wondering if anyone else ever experiences this?

The varations in the reported voltage have me wondering what PS you have and if it's stable.

I added what I know.

Yeah I have had my suspicions of the Power Supply but I hooked up my brothers Power Supply Allied 500W and it did the same thing. Another one is already on the way (Sunbeam NUUOS 550W just in case.

Also note the same readings coming from the program are in the bios hardware monitor.

I'd put my bet's on it being your PSU that's causing the problem.

I would recommend upgrading to an OCZ or an Antec PSU but there are lot's of really good make's out there so i'm sure someone else will suggest some.

I already ordered a new PSU.

I just question that because I tried out my brothers PS with my computer and it does the exat same thing. My brother does not have this problem on his computer (very similar to mine).

I got my motherboard replaced and got a Sunbeam power supply. The problem is still there but the farther I turn up the actual voltage the more it seems to get in sync with what I set it and what it runs at. The only thing I haven't tested is a different soundcard and videocard.
