This is looking amazing so far! I need 1.375 or so for 4.4 stable, this chip is AMAZING!

A lot of us consider a 99.99% stable oc equal to this (Orthos/Prime are the same thing so they are interchangeable):
12+ hours Orthos/Prime 95 Small FFTs stable
Next 8+ hours Orthos/Prime 95 Blend stable
memtest86+ 5 full passes stable RAM

These 3 steps usually mean it's as close to stable as it's going to get. But after oc'ing for a while you get a "feel" for stability and can cut corners if you plan to make changes rather soon, like I will later today.

I'll definitely be following this thread.

Here's what I'd try:

Ok this going to be my next attempt I was fooling around with my sig rig some more today I got my 2nd 4870x2 So I got off track. I guess this will be the big show.

So this should separate the men from the boys you think?

So the Intel Burn test is not needed then? I use always uses prime in the past.

And you think I have enough Cooling for a run like this?

You definitely have a good cooling solution; at 1.440v in CPU-Z I top out at 44/45c in Orthos Small FFTs stressing the cpu; 43/44c running the Blend test for the RAM and cpu together. A Linpack like IBT or Linx will run the temps between 10-15 degrees hotter. That's why I always choose to run Orthos--easier on the system overall, temps are a bit closer to "real world" situations like rendering a high def video or running a game with graphics totally maxed.

If you could just boot 5GHz and validate at volts near 1.40-1.45v (bios) that in itself would be a major accomplishment. To have it stable would make that chip pure gold. As the budget minded guy I would never suggest running hardware in a zone that would damage it. Here's some proof of my daily clocks and voltages attached; that's a lot of volts and my system stays cool with just this Mega. These UD3's were built to run cool under heavy volts, that's what all the copper's for.

Wow. I need to switch back to a dual core. I hit 69°C on my i7 after 8 hours at 4.2GHz with HT on and I was pumped about that...

Max of 52°C? THE JEALOUSY!

Ok here my latest not quite stable yet but I thing I will get I don't think it even need this much volts I think there isa a tweak in ref voltages or memory still giving me trouble. but I am damn close on this one.
