Go with the Opti 170 if you want to o/c it. Its way cheaper and a better proc then the x2 4400, not that is a bad chip or anything. I've got mine at 2655mhz now and in everest cpu tests its walking all over x2 4800 and quad zeon setups. This is a great dual core chip!

Have your tried to find your max OC? If so, what is it?

Im still working on it, I have only had it for a week or so. I think it will hit atleast 2.7 or so. Most people with x2 4400's are getting around 2.5 or so from what i've heard.

I highly doubt 2.5 ghz is the max on 4400's lol. Where are you getting your info? links please

For starters im getting it from my buddy's system. I have also read it in the forum here somewere, I will see if i can find it before i go to work.

P.S. Not a single low end component in my buddys rig and it's w/c'ed so heat isn't an issue.

x2 4400 is the best deal got the 2x1mb l2 cache and it just a tad slower than 4800 for about $300 less so if u lookin for a good x2 proc get the 4400

The opti 170 has the same cache but a slightly better memory controller making it the best deal even with out a major overclock on it.
