Having trouble getting all 5 Speakers to play

Okay well I just got a new system....Logitech Z-5500's (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16836121120).

My soundcard is an Audigy 2 ZS...

Problem is that their are a bunch of setting on my new speakers and in the soundcard. I am having trouble getting all 5 of the speakers to play...I think i might have them all but the 2 rears are very quite if not on at all and center is louder than all...on the auctual speakers their are 2 setting on the back, 6 channel direct and stereo 1-3. than their is a bunch of other effects in each of those settings. 6 channel direct, stereo, stereo X 2, PLII Movie, and PLII Music.

If someone could help me that would be great, especially if you have the same speakers. Thanks

99% of music is recorded in 2 channel. In order to have the music play through more channels than that, an artificial filtering method has to be used to route sound through other speakers. This "processing" is usually done with a variety of choices because none of them sound good on all music, so you have to play around to see what you like. Usually, you'll have choices like "hall, concert, pro logic, quad" etc. You can't expect to just play a song and have all your speakers produce sound. You have to tell it what settings you want. Some sound ok and some sound horrible. Me personally, I listen to music in 2 channel mode and save the other channels for just gaming.

My speakers play all 5 speakers without turning EAX on. All I did was set 5.1 in the speakers in the creative setup and 5.1 in the sound set up under control panel. STEREO should produce all 5 speakers. But in games STEREO is not near the best because its not "5.1". Try setting it to STEREO but be sure to change it back if you play a game.
