Welcome to OCN! Glad to see you bring us a build log so soon after joining! Very fun looking build. Couple of questions, just to be interactive with you:

1. Have you thought about a MegaShadow rather then Megahalems? Just to complement the black interior of the case.

2. You have 3.5Tb of storage space (holy crap!) have you considered getting two smaller drives for your applications/games files for better access times? Maybe two WD Black 640s, or two Samsung F3 500s? Two F3's at $55/each would be amazing speeds, and at their amazing price you would almost be breaking even with the WD 1Tb drive, except now with much much better performance results.

3. To help your system keep up do to the Raid 1 array, (and also if you decided to raid 0 any other drives) have you considered a raid card? SB750 unfortunately does not turn out the greatest numbers, especially when compared to Intel's SB's, so it's something to think about.

Cheers, the build looks fantastic, not to mention fun, which is what it's all about!

Its not actually black as was revealed to me in another thread so I will stick with the Megahalem

I already have those HDD's So I was just going to use them in the setup. One Program I have is 41 GB and it takes up more space as time goes on. Most games I have take 8-10gbs an install and I like having 10-15 games installed at once. I have thought about doing the Raid 0, just never got around to it. I didn't know the F3's were that cheap so I may do that.

Currently looking into a good raid card. Its one of the many upgrades i have in mind.

Overall one of my favorite things to do is building computers for people. Just thought I would make one cool like I see on youtube.

Someday I would like to learn welding and metal fabrication so I can make a computer case that looks like a W40k Predator tank.

OK So I have been doing some thinking and looking at the HDD's currently in my Posession.
All in all I do not need to but any more other then the 30GB OCZ Vertex.

After taking into consideration the above post about using 2 500gb drives for a Raid 0, I opened up my computer and saw that I have 2x500gb Barracuda 7200.10 drives and will be using those.

Now I just need to delete some data.

I also saw a thread about raid 1 it not being very good for backup. The guy pointed out in the thread a Program called Fbackup which will mirror a drive. So I have decided on doing this.

So as I was reading about the megahalem and I came across the Coarsair H50 and Noctua NH-D14 HSF. The Noctua beats out the Megahalem, IFX-14, and the H50.

Not only that but is comes with AMD and Intel mounting parts, NF-P12 Fan, NF-P14 fan, NT-H1 paste.

The H50 also comes with everything you need and is easy to install.

The Noctua is rather large and doesn't look very good, while the H50 is small and easy to install.
I will have to debate this for a day or so.

You know what F*** it im going all out and doing my first Watercooling setup. Never done one before so it should be fun. Besides with a $200 a month budget I should be fine!
Plus I live on a subtropical island where the ambient temperature is 77f degrees in the WINTER! Summer hits on avg 95f-100f with 95% humidity.

Just want to make it orange or yellow glowing tubes like the one I posted.

I aim to purchase the setup on Feb. 1st. Any help is appreciated.

Well I cleared the space on my 2 500GB's and threw them into a raid 0. Was way easier then most posted instructions as I didn't need drivers or a windows install disc.

My New mobo, ram, and proc should arrive in a few days I imagine by Friday. With Christmas and New Years we will see.

For now I just installed steam on the raid and will download a game to it to try it out. With 1 DVDRW Combo drive and 5 HDD's 4 Stat ports isn't enough so I have 2 devices disabled at the moment.

Here is hoping to god that my 1.5tb WD green doesn't die before the new hardware get here. I ordered a new drive just incase. I will mirror the drive onto the new one and set it aside in a static free bag and tuck it into a cool spot in my closet.

My buddy says his wife bought him a drill press so I am taking my machine over there once the parts come in and making some more cable management holes.
