Also for a refrence. G-Skill makes some top of the line good stuff but it rarely overclocks very far, they bind there speeds really well, so get them for durability, or get ocz for ultimate overclocking, of course what I have the dominator or some good crucial is ok also
My budget is about $50-80, really the cheaper the better. Now I'm thinking I want to run 64-bit Windows, so that means I'm probably looking at 4gb 1066.
I've been searching for awhile, and I think the best I've found that's available is the OCZ reaper 1066 4gb. Everything else is either too expensive or unavailable, since ddr2 is being phased out.
Here are my choices:
G.SKILL 4gb 1066
- just outside of my budget though
OCZ reaper 4gb 1066
- $75 after rebate
OCZ platinum 4g 1066
(not the low voltage ones) - $75 at the egg after rebate, $40 after rebate at zipzoomfly, but currently sold out, maybe not coming back
I'm kind of undecided. You guys have any other suggestions?
