Do I need to up the voltage on OCZ Pc-3200???

Thread Starter
A8N-SLI Deluxe, Athlon X2 4200+ (not overclocked at all)
Memory: 1GB, 2x512 sticks, OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 Dual Channel Platinum Rev 2

Default timing from bios was 2.5/3/3/5,
I adjusted this to 2/2/2/5
Then I adjusted from 2T to 1T.

PcMark05 memory test went from 4502(bios default) to 5215(using 2/2/2/5 at 1T)

Do I also need to up the voltage from 2.6? Or is 2.6 ok?

Many thanks.

run memtest for several loops to check for sability, if you get any errors then I'd suggest you up the voltage. If it runs fine at that power then you're good to go.

on a side note, it won't hurt anything by giving it more juice. that RAM is warrantied to 2.9v +5% (I'm not sure why OCZ just doesn't say 3.0v) I have mine at I believe 2.85, but I'm also running it at DDR520

That's TCCD, right? The ceiling for those is 2.9 volts, so have fun.

Sounds good but I assume you are not running it at 2/2/2/5 with DDR520 but 2.5/3/3/5??

Thanks.

Memtest86 found 8 errors after about 10 minutes :-(
I changed to ddr voltage to 2.75 and ran Memtest86 for about one hour, over 3 passes, no errors.

Funny, I ran with 2.6 for about 24 hours without a crash.

Glen.

you should be good at 2.75v. it doesn't hurt to check. just run test 8 in a loop for about 20 times. I believe it's c 1 3 x <enter> <enter> where x is the number of the test you want to loop
