Well 1920x1080 will have a slightly wider field of view in games, but you don't really notice any difference.

If you went portrait mode, then 1920x1080 would be much better. But in landscape, not worth the money. smile.gif

As long as you stick with landscape, they don't have any significant difference.

1680x1050 is fine for portrait, 1920x1080 is still better IMO though.

yes, 1080p's would be ideal, but im hoping to save money on 2 fronts. The monitors and the card to run them. i already have one samsung 2232bw, and they dont need display ports as long as I buy an adapter? Still not sure whether I will go AMD or NV.
You won't save money with nVidia. They require you to use 2 cards to use 3 displays, since the cards only have 2 outputs.

Go ATi, and use a DP to VGA adapter. smile.gif

No. Just no.

Something like BC2 would run maxed at 0 or 2xAA..

But crysis... Ehh... Crysis 1 won't run on eyefinity maxed... Like with 2x 6970s either. Crysis 2? I don't know how it will perform. No one will. Some say that it will be optimized s o it's easier to run, some say that it's gonna have the greatest graphics ever, and gonna take a huge amount of power to run.

We don't know.

ok, what about metro or AVP? those seem to be 2 of the most demanding titles right now. DX11 and Tess. will eventually come into play, should i just wait for 7xxx and 6xx series cards?

You know... There are those 3 demanding games. But they shouldn't be all you play. In those games you either have to lower the settings or just use a single screen. But in almost every other game, eyefinity runs quite well. And it's worth it.

Just don't expect to play metro or crysis with eyefinity. Pretty much anything else would run decently.
