Fan Speeds

Thread Starter
I just recently purchased an X850. When I was gaming on BF2, a warning came up telling me my temps were very hot (via catalyst control center). So I downloaded this ATI Tool. Im guessing my question is...does it matter how fast i put the fan? Is there a certain speed that its safe to put it at until it breaks?

Also, are there any other tips that you could give me to keep it cool?

I'd appreciate any replies that i get.

Buy a new cooler, it will give you 10% or more on benchmark + a better cooling. You can see fan max speed in specifications.

firstly welcome to the forum fill out ya details under user cp at the top left. if youve got hassles keeping the gpu cool set the fan to max (if youve slowed it down)it should help and will still last for years. if you continue to have hassles and warnings post again and we can sort it out

Thank you very much! Happy to be here!

My Idle temp is now running 35-40C, and gaming from 50-65C. I'm still thinking about getting some sort of cooling system though.

Your responses have helped quite a bit. Thanks!
