Why is my PSU blowing fuses?

Thread Starter
I've got a 450w AKIA PSU(I know, crappy). I blew the fuse in it by running my system and have since started running dual 350w PSU's but now I am trying to get the 450w back up.

I soldered in a new 5A 250v fuse and just plugging the PSU in and turning on the switch it immediatly blew the fuse again. Something wrong with the PSU I assume, any ideas what it could be and how I could fix it?

If all else fails Im gonna bypass the fuse and plug it in and see what expodes next. I'll let ya guys know.

I had this problem with my old enermax 485. Come to find out it had a blown compositor.

I know this is going out on a limb, but do you happen to know which thingy inside is the 'compositor'? Thanks for the info.

They look like a short skinny battery, and is pretty much what it is. Its a cylinder and its about .5-1inch tall depending on the capacitor.
