My Compy is just infested with problems.

yea i know everyone has problems with their computers sometimes but mine seems to be the Hyatt (refer to Excel Saga) of all computers. every week its either one thing or another. Lets recap on these problems:

Build, Boot up, blank screen... what???
Found solution: flash to newer bios (although if it had problems out of the box theres bound to be some hardware problems too, maybe)

crappy Dtek rerservoir i bought for 10 bucks with no O-rings. I was stupid enough to install it and over the course of 3 weeks i noticed my temperature rising and my harddrive died because of the leak. Harddrives no longer work!
Found Solution: some non-conductive MCT-40 stuck in between contacts on power cable.

Later, Computer freaks out when i change windows when it asks me if i wanna run a installation executable. Never found problem! Tried taking harddrive out to see serial # to see if it qualifies for warrantee, BREAK THE FREAKIN' SATA PLASTIC CONNECTOR... *sadly glues it back on with wacky glue*. Harddrives work again and DO NOT HAVE WARRANTEE.

computer still freaking out with window change, CS Crashed for absolutely no reason, Temperatures still reaching 37C idle with water cooling.

I guess this should be under rants and raves, but i felt it belonged here since most of the problems are about my harddrive.

by the way does anyone know what "msiexec /regserver" and "msiexec /unreg" does? I ran it via start>run and now i dont get an error when i try to install MSN Messenger

I know msiexec is used in windows installer and my guess is those switches are used when installing programs. You shouldn't need to use them yourself, though.

You are just re-registering MSI. Often used to fix issues like "Installer Service could not be accessed" or access 5 issues (the ever present "access denied")
