north bridge voltage

Thread Starter
I am currently trying to oc my system with a 9x multiplier because it will run my ram faster before my cpu starts limiting me, and I can get my settings up to (273 x 9) 2457mhz before it becomes unstable. I dont think its my ram holding me back though because I have very loose timings right now (3-3-3-8) and it has its voltage maxed out. i have a friend who has identical ram running the same timings who can push his ram up to 300+ mhz before it crashed, and he said he raised his nb voltage for it to work, so i was wondering, maybe my northbridge needs a little more voltage. so I went into my bios ans searched for 10 minutes, but I cannot find the option to adjust nb voltage. can someone please tell me what it might be called or where it might be located?

Thanks!

I don't think that your motherboard allow's you to raise the Chipset Voltage...

The only other option would be to do a Volt mod.

The Neo2 Plat is a favorite of mine...well MSI in general is. But you can not change the voltage on the chipset. It has like every other OCing option you can think of...but not that.

I've always wondered why...that's why I am trying to find out if the newer MSI boards allow for it...mainly the K8N SLI-F

How abt ur CPU voltage ? Most good chips usually max out around the 270FSB at stock volts. Try increasing ur CPU volts first.
