Directx 11

Thread Starter
Hey everyone, i just got myself an sapphire radeon 5850 with the DiRT2 Coupon, and im really wondering how to get directx 11? if i go to "Run" and type in dxdiag, it only says that im using directx9 and it would be cool to try out dirt2 with full graphs and directx11. Ive been checking around on the internet, but really cant find anything about directx11 for xp. or is it even possible to get with xp? ..

You're on Windows XP. You cannot run DirectX 10 or DirectX 11 on Windows XP.

You need Windows 7 to run Direct x11. XP don't have that nor Vista. Upgrade.

Windows XP is Directx9
Windows Vista is Directx10 (you need to install Directx11) (done by windows update)
Windows 7 is Directx11

(of course older versions of directx are supported, just listing the highest versions you can get for each OS)
