no. one is a power IN, to the 7800, and the other is power OUT, to whatever other device you want to plug in. one of those cords sends power the opposite direction of the card...

plug in plugs to ALL of the available connectors on your motherboard. (including the one by your pci-e slots). And yes, only one plug into the adapter. Heard about problems with CSS and dual cores...so try another game and see what's up.

Iam gettin frustrated their is really somthing wrong because i cant run FEAR at the high settings at all without lagging like crazy. With this setup it shouldnt be that way. Iam still only gettin 40 fps in css after i unpluged one of the power connecters from the vga adapter. Should i plug in a 4 pin power to the one above the pci-e? What should i do? What should all the setting be set at?

FEAR run a lot on RAM. when i added 1 gig, i was able to run the game at max. setting everywhere.

i know i don't have the best cpu/mobo for gaming, but the 1gig RAM was worth it.

Hmm... Im having the same probs with playing CS. Max fps is at 60. I play WOW with the settings turned all the way up and its smooth. Im thinking its just the settings in CS. I havent really tried changing the settings, but I'll get back to you if I find a way to change the fps.

Make sure vsync is turned off, 60 and 70 fps max sounds like vsync might be on. Just a guess. And this can change from game to game.
