PS just added the NB XR2 lets see if it really helps i am getting SLI today of 275 too hehehe

Well the Fan is running for 30min now the temps are lower from 68ºC to 64ºC nothing much but it sure helps. Lets see in SLI how it goes i only have one XR2 so I will see temps in both BFG 275 OCX
Looks good. Alternatively, you could try to reverse the fan and have it blow cooler air onto your board... worth a shot

I would have preferred to use a 92mm or 80mm, instead of a 70mm fan but the space just didnt allow it.

Now i am like this

It does the Job hehehe one thing i noticed in SLI was one of the cores i used MX-3 and the other AS5 (run out of MX-3) The MX-3 core is 2ºC cooler

I would like to know temps after reinstalling the stock fan and shroud back on.

Also do you think its because the stock cooler blows the air out the back where the 80mm would put it back into your case, maybe your case's airflow isnt enough to disperse that extra heat.

Im not sure to whom you are addressing that question, me or CyGnus?

If me... (from first post)
Ambient (room): 28c
Idle Stock: 39c
Load Stock 100% fan (folding): 62c

The temps didnt change from this original test after I put it back together.

I used 92mm and 70mm fans for the mod... not 80mm (assuming your question is to me).

However, I tend to agree with you. The heat had no where to go except all over the case.

Heheheh little update 80mm FAN in the rear of the SLI i just found out to be folding i do not need the dummy plug in GTX's here is a PIC to give you guys an idea

GTX 275 Folding VGA Fan 86% before 80mm FAN:
GTX 1: 65ºC
GTX 2: 68ºC

GTX Folding VGA Fan 80% and with 80mm FAN to help exhaust:
GTX 1: 60ºC
GTX 2: 63ºC
PCB temperature decreased 6/7ºC on both card's too

Shaders on both at 1620MHZ

Sethy666 Thanks for this idea it really works, and for the other help about Risen

Sethy666 ohh well over the night the temps scaled a bit VGA's at 64/67cº humm maybe a little cable management will improve something like put all pci connectors together with a zip tie they are now restricting some air flow from the intake.
I just noticed that they scaled in folding at night because of the wu's i was getting! It were 548pts ones and not 353 the 548 stress a lot more the card's so everything is fine.

PS: The second card will always be hotter since it is very close to the PSU
Done 1/2ºC Drop and it is all tidy now

Back to 353 Wu's 57 and 61ºc
