you guys have probably seen alot of these, but im kinda stuck here. I'll keep it short

my budget is around $275, and i want a monitor that has good contrast and fast response time (at least 12ms), and is at least 19", because i am going to be gaming on it. i have brought it down to 3 choices, so tell me whatcha think:

Acer 19" 8ms

Neovo 19" 12ms

Rosewill 19" 8ms

if you guys have any other recomendations, feel free to let me know. i just ned something that wont ghost, and will look good while gaming (and also have a dvi input). thanks!

Acer would be the way to go. They make a KILLER 24" LCD.

Thats my choice out of the three anyways.

The Rosewill is out immediately. You simply cannot have an LCD with analog VGA. You NEED to get DVI, its necessary, no exceptions. The other two are close. I like the Acer's specs its just that the speakers and bezel are pretty ugly. But hey, the thing has 8ms response time and 550:1 contrast, which is right where you want to be.

If I was you, I would look for a couple of things before you buy. First of all, make sure that response time is grey to grey, as that is more impressive than simply black to white.Knowing that its the grey to grey time will be you a more accurate idea of how it will respond when gaming, rather than just brute speed that the pixels can change. Also, look for some reviews on the Acer to check for backlight bleeding problems, deal pixel problems, and uniformity of the screen. If you do your homework, you shouldn't be disappointed by today's LCDs. Heck, I have the Dell 20" with 16ms response time, game all day and its amazing, so 8ms will really be great. Good luck!

Similar to the Acer...slightly cheaper. I dont like the brightness level though

BUT, what are ya gonna do? With a tight budget, I think either one will do you nicely.

What does google say for reviews on the rosewill above, and the acer in the first post?

i cant find ANY reviews on either monitor, except for the ones on newegg. the thing that impressed me about the rosewill was the dot pitch.....but will .3mm pitch be noticable?

Yes, you will notice the difference between 0.294 and 0.264.

Check Rosewill's website to see if Newegg reported the dot pitch correctly though.

I bought that rosewill. Swear im the first...Its awesome. No complaints, minus my one dead pixel. They didnt tape the box shut when they shipped it, but i live close so i got it in about 2 days.

The monitor is bright, but easily turned down. I hardly see any ghosting, i am very anal about ghosting i hate it alot. But this monitor deals with ghosting very nicely and its not really noticeable. The screen is big as *****. The speakers on the monitor .. i dunno i dont use. Very satisfied with this monitor.

I play bf2 Cs:s dod:s fear cod2

Just note, the games will look best at 1280x1024 with a lcd...so make sure your system can run at these levels (with AA prefered). When the screen is this big you notice jagged edges.<---ignore just read your specs
