Another 7800 GTX

Thread Starter
Hi, I'm thinking of purchasing another 7800 GTX to run in SLI with my current card. I just want to make sure before purchasing it that 530W (Enermax) is enough to support 2x7800GTX 256mb, AMD 4400+ Dual-Core, 2 gig Corsair RAM, Gigabyte N4-K8N-SLI motherboard.

And also, I'm just wondering is it right that scoring a 8300+ in 3DMark05 with just a single 7800GTX 256mb, with JUST the cpu OC'ed to 2.4 Ghz (And yes I'm sure I have everything updated with the latest updates). Just wondering, b/c some people are scoring just a little better than me with a lil' crappier hardware. Thanx.

Enermax make great PSU's so i think your ok in that department..

For your scores, what do your memory timings look like? I think you could hit in the mid 9500's but heck, it's a game of numbers..

I got 8600 with my FX57 and 1 card, your scores are fine. My PSU has had no problems running my SLI either. Don't go below 600W and it has to be a good 600W not a cheapo. Make sure it says "SLI Capable" or something along those lines.

Thanx for the responces. I'm not really experienced in tweaking or Oc'ing RAM. So how should the memory timing look like.. blah,blah,blah... fill me up with knowledge lol. Cause it would just be ridiculous if could serious get my score past 9K haha.

I think my PSU should be SLI capable, i'll have to check when I get home so see if it says that on the box. *crosses fingers*
