As someone posted before, the 256bit 256MB GDDR3 will beat the 128bit 128MB GDDR3, but I would go for the 6600gt and maybe int he future you can get a second for cheap and SLI them.

I'm completely happy with my 6600GT. It's a great card and it was worth every penny.

I would of get the x800gto or x800gt2 which proven to successfully run with all 16 pipelines enabled with x850xtpe speeds, even tho both of these cards will unlock x800gto2 will hit higher clocks... it's still within the limits of your budget.
