Dfi-Lanparty Ultra-D, good overclocking? stability? - Page 2

if you want stability go with DFI NF4 SLI-DR. check out my overclock on a Venice 3200+ With that board and OCZ dual ddr 2X512. i cant hit 3ghz yet but hey im still trying...also, i have not upgraded ANY cooling so yeah.

for cpu if you want a stable oc look for a AMD Athlon 64 venice 3200+, to pair with the mobo i list. it works great and it also doesnt heat up much stock.

EDIT: I HAVE NOT MANAGED TO BE COMPLETELY STABLE AT 2820!!! MAX STABLE IVE HIT IS 2640!!!

only problems I had at first were memory compadability, but that was fixed with a new BIOS release about 6 months ago.

I love the board, I wouldn't recommend it if you are not familiar with an average bios.
Everything started up first try after building, and flashing to a more recent/capable bios was simple.
As one other person mentioned, head over to dfi-street.com to learn more about what you need to get started, and some little tips on setting it up the first time....
really helpful.
