It's a great sound card from the reviews I've seen. I'd either pick that or the Asus Xonar DX2

The HT Omega would be a good choice. Not sure how it is in comparison to the newer cards. If you had the money, I'd suggest going with the HT Omega.

Then you should get the HT Omega Claro+ because it's supposedly better than the quality of the Prelude, yet you don't use it for heavy gaming. The prelude would be a better choice if it was something like 50/50, but that's not the case.

I was thinking about either buying the Forte or D2X since I don't have any PCI slots. You should go for the Claro+ if you're into music mostly.
