Got the same board on my other compy, Soundcard is a total dud, Upgrade to something better and you'll thank yourself for spending the extra $$. Sometimes I would restart my comp and it'd be fine again. Really don't know, the audio on those boards is a bit hit or miss.

OFFTOPIC: What kinda oc did you get from it?

Well try a different set of speakers, I didnt say motherboard I said soundcard! If all you want is basic 2.1 channel sound your looking at maybe $40 CAD at a local Futureshop, Staples, or computer store? I just threw in a new soundcard to fix my problems, It may just be your speakers. Try to test it with different speakers

put your speakers into someone elses system, if they don't work - the speaker is probably dead. Put someone elses speakers into your board, if they don't work - you know the problem is the MB hardware or drivers. But from the sound of it you've done all you can on that front and would have to live with it.

You do not need to put in a new chip in the sense I think you are talking about. I think the previous person was actually talking about putting in an actual soundcard and then disabling the motherboard soundcard. Have you tried headphones? What about the volume control in windows (or whatever os you're using)? Regardless, you can get a new soundcard on newegg for as cheap as 8 bucks (though I am unsure if that is any better than what you have now)

Well . . hope it works out.
