I decided to pick up an Arduino today and I treaded upon this post... http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/news.php?id=305

Basically, on January 7th, 2010, you get $100 credit at SparkFun. You are limited to one order to get this credit, and one per household, but it's still a great way to get started on DIY electronics. You can buy as much stuff as you want, but it takes $100 off the total order. You could buy less than $100 worth of stuff too and just pay shipping! As far as I know, this is January 7th only.

Was up a long time ago, already got my cart drawn up ... hoping people don't start posting it everywhere, really looking forward to picking up a new Mega and a few smaller parts.

Hopefully their new servers withhold the traffic, unlike the Razer deal which took hours.

I think this will turn out better, as expect there are fewer kids (and people in general) who will go crazy over this and clog up the servers.

Yeaaaah I'm waiting to pick up an arduino.. kinda was hoping this wouldn't be posted on ocn cause people here have (in the past, that i've witnessed) taken advantage of ANY offer, and some offers were greatly exploited to the point where people who actually qualified weren't even allowed use of them anymore. :/ hopefully this one won't get too out of hand.

Oh wow, I've really wanted to get into EE and see what it's all about. I've never been able to really get into it, not knowing what to buy. I'm gonna get the beginner kit...anything else I should get for essentials? I guess a few leds...
