RAID maxtors

Thread Starter
Hey i have one 200 gig maxtor (sata 150, 8mb buffer, seektime: 9ms, latency: 4.17ms, but it is not RoHS Comliant (Restriction of Hazardous Substances))

I want to buy another and put it in RAID 0, but its not offered anywhere. Maxtor is making RoHS Comliant (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) drives now. I think ive found the same drive, but its ROHS comliant. The stats on it look exactly the same, but it just might be a little different. The size and cache are the same. The seek time and latentcys SHOULD be the same.

Would I have any trouble setting these drives up in RAID?

Na, the drives don't have to be idendical... Optimally they need to be the same speed and size. Cache helps, also, but isn't required. It'll work.
