I second this, i would say go for it, i max load at 52 and idle at 33-37, this is at 4GHz HT OFF, on my i7 920

and what about this VGA cooler? it looks HUGE!!
it seems on par with water cooling or even better,
it's the best VGA cooling I've seen

I realize alot of interest on this new heatsink, thought I had post it.

My S-Flexs got backordered so still waiting to finish the whole thing.
i7 860 @ 4.0Ghz 1.33ishv Idle avg 35'C and Load 73-75'C - quite high compare to some numbers we have here.
Old CM Hyper 212+ it was 38'C idle 90'C load LinX - size comparison below

Its that Noctua fan causing the problems. That fan has bad static pressure. You need to get a Scythe Gentletyphoon AP-15, or an SFlex SFF21F or SFF21G. San Ace h1011's work nice too .

I got rid of my E because it was puny lol but it worked pretty well in push/pull and was dead silent. The SFlex F models are very quiet as well but move a lot more air. They are probably the sweet spot.

If you want the ultimate in silence/performance get a couple San Aces and put them on a fan controller. Better yet get those 120x25mm Delta PWM fans that have a ton of static pressure and undervolt them.
