Audigy 2 ZS drive with x-fi

I couldn't find another thread on this but I'm curious to know. I'm a musician who enjoys recording. I also play video games a lot. My question is I have an audigy 2 platinum. Is it worth it to upgrade? If so, to which one? Also, I have the drive on my audigy 2 would it work with the x-fi? It seems to be the correct number of pins etc. Any ideas?
