7800GT beginner overclock

OK, so I have coolbits 2 installed, my idle temps are 41 degrees, should i get my load temp on the GPU before using coolbits to overclock?

I have tweaked Forceware 81.95 drivers installed, any advice on what I should do to get a little more performance out of my card? (score in 3dmark05 is 7075) I would like to play with AA on 64 player servers in BF2

Thanks

EDIT: Also, in 3dmark05 and in games, I notice that the shadows are not straight edged, they're jagged, and they move. Is this "tearing" and is there any way to make it go away?

I did the detect optimal frequencies, and it set it at 512/1.20. I will give load temps ASAP

P.S. Stock speeds are 445/1.07

Wow... I just did 3dmark05 and the overclock brought my score up to 7849
This is better than i thought, any advice?

I play on all high settings with 4x AA on BF2 and it runs fine...it will drop to 30 some frames in some areas in SF but its not terrible...

I'd watch when you get too high on this card. I started seeing artifacts on Tiger 06 when it was at 499, but a few while playing BF2. You can keep upping the Clock and Memory until its unstable or you get a lot of artifacts, but, getting rid of the "jaggies" all you need to do is up the AA on games and it'll get rid of them

I got the same sort of score with my CO at it's current setting in 3d Mark, I also bumped my power on my RAM and changed the timings to 2-3-2-5 on 1T. But playing BF2 at 1024x768 with everything on high and 4x AA will be 60+ FPS no doubt. Gonna start bumpming up the CPU speed and see what get

OK, i tried it out and i got some artifacting with the settings it reccomended, so i dropped it down to 485/1.15. At load the GPU gets to 60 degrees, is that hot? BF2 runs perfect 1280x1024 with full graphics, no lag, but how do you check fps? I might push it up a little more, but it seems good to me.

Now, I have a stock heatsink on my CPU... what program can i use to bump it's speed up a little? I have heard the 3700 can get up to the speed of the FX-57 or 55?

Also, is 60 degrees acceptable for a load temp?

Thanks

EDIT: I'll try out 499/1.15, but it might not work because I don't have the CO edition.

60 degrees is good for a load temp, i get 70 load with no OC which amazes me, but i have a cooler on the way =].
