new i7 build

I just ordered the components for my new build, any advice would be appreciated. This isnt my first build my last one was a 790i mobo w/ q9300 oc'ed to 3.3, 9800gtx SLI...

This build i am going with 2-5850's--I've always had nvidia cards before ((well....3dFX before that but that's been awhile..))

What soundcard is good? I've always had creative cards but if there is an option without all the bloat......

the Auzentech X-FI forte 7.1 Sound card is great!! As for case do you like the 932? has better cable management and is awesome for future watercooling needs.. Other then that everything seems fine mate..

the 932 was about 100 bucks more and im already way over budget...

I think someone mentioned this in the CPU section but I'd go with an SSD, rather than a velociraptor, for a boot drive. Also might want to look into modding the case.

TJHarlow probably the foremost person for modding the 1200

Edit: Also if your ordering parts from Newegg don't forget to check the combo prices you could save a lot of money that way! You might have to sacrifice a brand you like for another though.

looks like it's going to be a great build, but just as stated before, swap out that velociraptor for a decent ssd to use as a boot drive!
