MSI neo4-f

Thread Starter
i had 512 stick of ram in my brothers comp. and i just bought some OCZ ram for myself so i gave him my old ram, it was 2 sticks of 256. its all the same timings and works fine. but it only is using 1 stick of it so its using the stick in the 1st and 2nd dimm. the 3rd dimm with the 256 isnt working, so its at 700 whatever memory, is there anyway to do this or is this configuration just not supported? it says 768 in my computer properties, but yet CPU-z says 1000. so i think its using 768 but CPUz sees all of it, any ideas?

ok then lets see... my board that i just got (a asrock939 dual sata) has the same problem and i found that in some boards u can either use one dual channel or 2 dual channel but not one dual channel and another stick of ram.

Yeah, but your PC133 boards didn't have a dual channel memory controller!
