AN832-SLI have problems with G. Skill HZ series?

Thread Starter
The G. Skill rep told me on MSN that the motherboard doesn't like the HZ series RAM. Well seeeing as I already have the motherboard in a box (Opened, and I can't take it back) and the RAM is in the post, am I going to have a problem?

I did try to find stuff about this else where, but I couldn't find anything, so I am going to ask here. If anyone knows anything about compatibility issues between the two parts, please tell me. Or vice-versa, if anyone can confirm that there is no problem, that would be great.

I know the G. Skill rep specifically said that was a problem with the UCCC chips and the motherboard, but hey. Too late now. Help!

Oh and thanks

Alright, maybe a better question: Which is likely to max out first, the motherboard, or the RAM? Would I get better results out of the DFI LAN PARTY SLI DR EXPERT?

More than likely, the RAM. Just about any motherboard is capable of 300HTT of greater, and only the best of RAM can run those speeds. The chances if an issue with the RAM and motherboard are pretty slim, in all my experiences with ASUS motherboards I've never had a RAM incompatability. Can't say the same about DFI...

So despite the fact I am a lazy student without a job (which will change soon, though) and I don't have much money to through around - is it worth just trying the RAM with the motherboard and hoping for the best? =P

Best bet is to see what others are using with your mobo and get the same make. If not the likely hood of most good quality Rams not being compatible is very minimal

ive allways had asus mobos and the only two brands of ram i have run are ocz (plat rev2) and gskill (2x512 and now 2x1gb) and both have performed great

the ocz and the 2x512 gskill were samsung tccd which is good for atleast my asus mobos ( i think you can do bh5 and stuff with yours )

and the 2x1gb are uuuc or something like that and they are about similer to the tccd with respects to power consumption and they work just fine so far
