First time building a loop. Lurked a lot but couldn't find this particular mix.
Is it ok to mix acetal, nickel, copper and brass?

Tnx for your time!

Acetal is a form of plastic, so it's okay. Usually the big one to keep away from the mix is aluminum. I think nickel/copper and brass are okay being mixed together. You should be fine with that loop.

Yes you are fine to mix those metals. Just don't throw in any aluminium.

acetal can form up corrosion but its highly likely if you use PT nuke etc, Nickle is 100% anti corrosion hehe, ive been using ACETAL blocks for ever and have had no issues.. Ur good to go..

Yes alluminim is the no no because of corrosion. Takes a little while to corrode, so if you absolutely had to, then it could be, for about a year, in a water loop.

You can mix most metals as long as they don't touch each other.

Here are a couple of things you may like to read about it.....But with common WC'ing gear the main thing is to keep aluminium out of your loop. Doesn't matter if it's plated anodized or what-ever aluminium, it will cause galvanic corrosion sooner then later.

..Galvanic corrosion

..Galvanic series

@ Monst3r
Did you mean "highly unlikely"? Or does PT Nuke cause acetal corrosion?

Tnx in advance!

@ Rest
Tnx for taking the time to help, I'll stay away from aluminium!

He was just messing around. Acetal doesn't cause any corrosion. Take a look at http://www.engineersedge.com/galvanic_capatability.htm. This explains the issue very plainly.

You will find nickel, brass, and copper used all the time in watercooling components as they aren't dissimilar enough to have problems with corrosion.

Many watercooling parts in recent history used anodized aluminum, and there simply were too many problems with the anodizing not being complete so as to allow direct contact between the water and aluminum causing corrosion problems. Vendors finally started getting the message and have almost completely switched over to nickel, copper, and brass. Nickel is only used as a plating to keep things looking pretty since copper tarnishes.
