If your mobo cant overclock dont your think maybe you should get one that can overclock and another stick of 512 kingston ram.

well don't buy Corsair. they have some of the worst support ever, plus they are getting out of the high end RAM business.

both OCZ and g.skill are better performance wise and they're cheaper

What fsb are you running ?

Putting high end RAM in a sytem that will never utilise it is pointless.

Him, I want 2gb before i make the jump to amd and pci-e. Im running 166 mhz , 2700. My timings are 2.5-3-3-7. You can change the timings and stuff in bios but you cant change anything for the processor unless its just a 15 mhz fsb increase. The max for the mobo is 3200

You could try..this..from G.SKILL for US $245.00 it has been getting good reviews and is hard to beat at the moment for all but high fsb's over the 250MHz mark.
It will be my 2x1024Mb upgrade choice this month.

cheers
