Another gig of memory or vga cooler?

Thread Starter
ive got around 100 bucks, maybe a little bit more to spend on an upgrade. and i was tyring to decide between a water cooling setup for my vid card, since i cant oc my freakin proc. or another gig of ram. i know some people thing 2gigs of memory is overkill but alot of the times its not. i end up using all of my memory alot of the time and then it has to start using the paging file and it slows everything down. anyways, i was thinking about this wc setup, and i would just be using it for my vid card

or one of these sets of memory, just cause they are a decent brand and pretty cheap

well right now a new case pretty much wont do anything for me, unless it comes with a better psu, but then still it wont help me very much because i cant oc. and if i could buy a new mobo for it i would, but i wasnt the one that bought the computer and that person really doesnt know anything about them and wont let me. and yes, i agree with you, dells do suck really really really bad. but its all ive got right now. anyways i was asking for suggestions on 1 gig of ram or a vga cooler so if anybody has any feel free to tell me

I'd get the ram because when you upgrade your w/c block on your video card, it most likely won't work with a new card. However, the DDR2 should be good for your next system as well.

AMD's new processors will be using DDR2. I'd get the ram for both current performance and future savings.

I would get a new motherboard to start out.. That will allow you to OC and tweak parts, unlike the dell.

well first of all i cant replace the mobo cause my dads all stupid about the warranty from dell (even though its already voided because of modding it did, but he doesnt know that) and isnt gonna let me replace the motherboard, yea i know its stupid, but its not my decision. and then second, if i got a new mobo id have to get a new case to cause dell makes their cases "custom" most of the time. i think im gonna go with the vga watercooling setup. does anybody have anythign bad to say about this
