First off, please disreguard my post about "Which Viewsonic Monitor" as my situation has changed......

I need some help deciding what to do......so I am going to make a poll here.

Currently I have the rig in my sig and my brother is getting a new computer tomorrow (see member "Ninja_Boy" to see his specs) and he was planning on getting the same monitor I have, the VP191b. However, I decided to let him have my monitor and he could buy me a VX922 which is about $100 cheaper with slightly worse image quality but with a 2ms response time.

Now I got to thinking, I am going to be able to spend $500 for Christmas and if he doesn't have to buy ANY monitor at all (I would give him mine) he could fit some better stuff into his budget and then I could take that $500 and get a much better monitor!

So please help me decide which to do.....

1) Keep my monitor and let my brother pay $480 for a VP191b (19in, 1280x1024, 8ms response)

2) Give my monitor to my brother and let him pay $370 for a VX220 (19in, 1280x1024, 2ms response) for me

3) Give my monitor to my brother and buy a SAMSUNG 204T (20.1in, 1600x1200, 16ms response) for myself for $519.....

If I do #3 then I sacrifice the ability to buy a Creative X-FI Fatal1ty FPS and 2GB of DDR2 667 for my computer.

So which is the best choice and why? If you need clarification on anything just ask.

option 3

As a graphic designer, I cant stand resolutions smaller than 1600x1200 so Id spend my money on a better monitor/ the monitor I really want... plus, when I still lived with my parents, I always helped my brother any way I could

Youll be fine with your current soundcard for a while and you dont need the 2 gigs anyway... so do your little brother a favor and get yourself a better monitor
