I do remember something like that. And it does stop at 1.7. But shouldn't I be able to go higher than that? My bios has a lot more than 3 options.

Ok, the vcore is the VID. and the VID special is the way to increase it. you do not want the vcore to go over 1.7 unless you want to burn your chip up.
here is a table of how to mess with those settings...start there, then come back for more info..

ah, I thought you had the system in front of you...I was getting excited to help you out...It's kinda like I get to OC that chip across the internet, ahahha
