Volts safe??

Thread Starter
Hey I know I already have another thread about me oc' my 3200+ but this time it is about the processor itself and not the memory. Ok well I finally managed to get my CPU stable at 2.65. Well my biggest concern is that I had to raise my CPU voltage from stock to at 1.4 to about 1.6 or in my bios 13.3% above the normal voltage. My temps are: 32Idle and 44C load. I was wondering if it is SAFE to raise my voltage another level to 16% or even 20%. I know my temps are fine but I don't want to fry anything . Thanks in Advance

Exactly what is your cpu set at???14.5/14.75/15.0???catch my drift....I run at 16.50 with temps 31c idle and 42c full load....as long as your temps are in line, you shouldnt have any problems

I'm not an AMD guy, but I don't think volts above 1.55 are safe...

uhmm I don't exactly understand what you mean by 14.5 / 14.75/15.
it all depends but if you raise it any more your heat loads going ot go up so whats fine now may push it over the edge on the next hump but honeslty going above 1.6 on most of these guys dont show much of any improvment over say 1.55 to 1.6 but thats just my experience

not necessarily , i ran my 3500+ at 1.75vcore for 8 months before i changed cpus and it did just fine

my opti 170 likes 1.6vcore when it can have it, ofcourse im sure it does take off there life a little bit but....
