reasonable o'c for 3000+?

Hey guys , i just bought a AMD 64 3000+ with a Gigabyte GA-K8N-SLI
what would be a reasonably safe O'C for this setup thanks!

2.4 should be "reasonable". Probably at LEAST 2.5 though. Depends on your ram and if you wanna run 1:1...and your cooling....how high you're willing to go with temps. Should be pretty simple though...

The stock AMD heatsink is ok for a venice...but if you really wanna see some numbers I'd recommend an XP-120 with a panaflo medium fan.

Also I've heard a lot of good things about the big typhoon...

These two heatsinks are AMAZING at cooling down the Venice. Make sure you have lots of case air flow too.

I'd say expect at least 2.5. Go easy on the Vcore, you need to find the sweet spot, and more vcore doesn't always mean higher FSB. Good luck, have fun!

Check my specs but when I say stock cooling I have the stock cpu cooler running but a lot of case fans cooling out the box.

i have a 3000+ with winchester core. Got it early. I just started overclocking but with my board I cant get it above 2330 without it getting errors on super pi. But other people believe that it is just my motherboard not being able to change the voltage to the chipset. But 2.5 isn't uncommon for venice's
