The power supply you choose is one of the best in the price range, now the case is a more personal thing. What might be ugly to some might be not so to others. besides looks there are other factors like cable management, air flow, price, noise etc.

The prolimatech megahalem is a great cooler.

Also you should pay 5 dollars more and get the 640gb caviar black.
well i wud like a well known good brand name psu instead of a random one so i chose Corsair. Found it easily here so gona stick to it.

i was looking for the 640gb version but it seems no one has it so i am forced to go for 500gb. 1 tb is available but reviews aint tht gud about them, moreover 500 or 640gb is more than enough for me.

i have a seagate 160gb hd atm and it took me 5 years to fill it

my main concern is airflow and cable management. my decision depends on those two factors. some say cosmos s paint quality is not that gud.

wud be nice if owners of both cases replied here to ease my confusion.

for me both haf 932 and cosmos s are gud looking cases.

if u are going overclock ... get h50 + corsair dominator (2x2 but not 2x1x2 , trust me it wont help much since u already in dual channel )
casing i would recommend u 922 for sake of cheaper n better
dun hesitate , go for 275 .
if u are not going overclocking , u can choose on xms3 and some air cooler , the stock is already good enough thought .

thanks for the info on ram. At first i thought of buying a 922 but then price difference between 932 and 922 was not much, so i decided to go full tower. Now need to chose between 932 n cosmos s only. Evga gtx 275 superclocked is $25 more than sapphire 5850 here. Is it better to spend extra $25 on gtx275 against sapphire 5850?

Processor Core i5 750

Motherboard Asus p7p55d EVO = great alternatives are msi p55 gd65 or gigabyte ud4p

Hard disk Western Digital Caviar black 500gb

Ram Corsair Dominator two sets of (2 x 1gb) = 4 gbs ddr3 1600mhz or (any other gud brand, kingston or mushkin) = corsair

Video card Evga Gtx 275 superclocked or Sapphire 5850 = 5850 has dx11 and beats a 275

Cpu cooler Corsair H50 = Nice

Case Cooler master HAF 932 or Cosmos S = 932 you can just add filters

Power Supply Corsair 850 TX = overkill at most you would need a tx750

i read the review on that site but it says it supports only 775 and 1366 sockets.

@sunjoo

Before deciding the asus p7p55d evo i checked the alternatives you mentioned and found that asus was rated better than the other two.

already decided to go for sapphire 5850 since i'am getting it cheaper than evga gtx 275 superlocked here.

only thing remaining is the case.

other than that ram ofcourse coz finding it is becoming harder.

The 5850 is better than the 275. Also I have an 850tx and if you are concerned with cable management, I suggest getting a modular powersupply like the HX850 or something. Also 850 watts is more than enough for your setup.

Also go with a 2x2gb kit of whatever ram you can. Make sure it is 1.65gb or less! Also for the case I would go for the HAF932. It is excellent for the price!

Also, my suggestion for the cooler would be a Xigmatek Dark Knight. Since you don't plan on overclocking, you don't need anything like really expensive like the Megahalems or the H50. The Dark Knight is the best for the price, and also is one of the top coolers that competes pretty well if you plan on overclocking in the future.

Other than that, good build!

edit: the new revision of the Megahelems and the Megashadow support 1156.
