Going crazy over asus mobo - Page 2

well i have the a8n standard version. Make sure that your hyper threading is set to 3x so that your not going over the 1000 barier. 275 x 3 < 1000. If your ram is rated at ddr 550 then you shouldn't have to run a divider when you try to run 275 mhz. you could try loosening your timings. on asus boards, you just set the ddr option to ddr 400 and then raise the fsb. The ram should stay at 1:1 with the fsb. And btw, there is a divider in the bios but it is not labeled the divider.

On asus boards, the divider is under the dram catagory. In order to set the divider you have to set a limiter. standard is 400 then comes 333, 266, 200 and so on. to run your ram at 275mhz. Set the limitor on 400 and then raise the fxb up to 275 in 10mhz steps at a time.

I dont know if you already solved your problem, as you have not been active for 3 days, but let me know if this helps yoru problem at all.

yeah, set the ram max to DDR400 then OC like you normally do. That's what you have to do to OC at a 1:1 ratio. That's what I've got... OC'd my RAM to DDR520
