I just put that on my GPU and it doesn't seem to be working too well. Did i do something wrong? I took off all the grease from my GPU and put this on, its idling from 39-42, and then when i turn on BF, it shoots up to 70-90. Please help! (I used that on my 3400+ 64)

Also, if i used the wrong stuff, is there anything i can use besides AS5? I cant seem to find that stuff anywhere in Ontario

What were they before? And I'm not surprised, the stuff ati already puts on there is fairly good, This is just some cheap crap. And i believe you need paste not gel, not sure that'd make a big diff. though.

The temps went up 5-15C. Before it would go higher then 70-75C.

Although it does still idle the same.

I was just told to put some sort of this stuff on to make it cooler. I didn't know it would worsen it.

Is it possible to get the stuff I need at local computer stores?

If not will this work? http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...ab=11&NoMapp=0

That stuff was obviously not the best then Get AS5 there's no other substitute. I've heard that the OCZ thermal paste actually rivals the paste that arctic silver puts out and provides same temps if not better. So either get some OCZ thermal paste, or some AS5. Tiger direct ought to have atleast one of them. If both are available go for the as5 though, Tried trusted and true

Are you able to shop off of tigerdirect.ca ?

EDIT:: Sorry, didn't click your link! Get that tube of OCZ paste. Stick some on your proc. aswell. Or just stick to graphics cards, but that ought to do the trick!

90 degrees underload is fine for a short period of time. You should worry when its consistently above 70 degrees Celsius load. Stick a spare fan on top of the graphics card blowing air down. Make sure no metal part of the fan actually touches the card tho. That should help temps a lot while you await your paste.

I dont really have any extra fans in my case. Do you think if i took off my side panel and just setup a big fan beside it, it may do the trick?

Which one should I get?

The AS5 or the OCZ?

The one from the states would probably take longer as well...

I've read reviews that state they both perform about the same. So it's just your personal decision. Do you want ocz ? It'll come faster and probably be just as good as as5. Or do you want as5, It'll take a bit longer and may or may not be better than the OCZ.
