Smart Guardian miss reading? - Page 2

is this with the opty 170? If so those temps you posted at the start of the thread sound about right, tell us what your full (both core) load temp is... I personally like Smartguardian myself, and have found that it doesn't differentiate from the bios by more than 3-5%...

You can always do the paper test to see if your block is set right - get a small strip of paper and try to insert between the block and IHS. If you see thermal paste on it you know you did something wrong

I flashed to the 12/07 oficial bios and no temp differences have been noted.
Thats why I'm suspicious of the read outs. I doubled checked the block already. I always had a big temps diff between the two monitoring programs, it just got a little larger with the flash. Thanks for your thoughts though!

edit: @ death, my max temp (100% both cores) is 34c, do you see a diff between Smart Guardian and other software?

I figured out why theres a temp diff between the 2 programs, everest is mixing up the sensors. My CPU is being read out as my Aux temp and my Chipset is being read as my CPU temp and my PWMIC is read as Motherboard. Now I can relax and really crank this cpu up!
