Don't buy the PE, just get the non PE sapphire on newegg for 489 and flash it with this BIOS. Here's the link to the PE BIOS. Just click on it to download the zip file...

I have the X1800XT and its is one hell of a fast card. Im very happy with it. Its beats the 7800GTX in just about everything now with the Cat 5.12s.

The extra $30 is worth it all the way
Very nice!

I would say overall the 7800GTX.. You can find good deals on them usually and get them for alot less than the X1800XT. Or you could even get a 7800GT.. Its around 10 or 15 fps less for like $100 less than a 7800GT. But there are new cards coming out soon if you want to see how they due you can wait.

Wait for the G71 and the R580 to come out to drive the prices of these two down, then make your decision.

hah, the Geforce 8 series and x1900 series are gonna be some tough competitors... altho the x1900 does use 48 Ppipelines OMG , but maybe the Geforce 8 have higher clock speeds?

No, the x1900 will still have 16 pipes (as far as I know), but it will have 48 shader pipelines. ATI uses a prosses that is less pipeline-dependent then nVidia's, so they dont need as many pipes to do the same stuff. This is just my understanding, so any video card gurus can feel free to correct me.

You misread whatever you were reading. The x1900xt will not have 48 pipelines. (read it again) It will have 16 pipelines and 48 shader processors.
