so my bro is getting a new agp card and doesnt want too spend to much money.
he asked which card was the best of the 2...
so which one, a 6600gt or x700?

6600gt will out perform the x700 all around and has SM3

agp? hmmm...

I think that 6600GT is better (in test it was better), but if the ati is x700XT, i would get the xt.

Hard decision here..as both those cards are quit similar i would have to go for the on that offers the best price.

6600GT, it's nearly as powerful as the 6800, the x700 doesn't even compare. Wheres the SM3?

get the 6600gt especially for PCI-ex should have SLI capability for future upgrade, but even on AGP great card, friend got x700 and recently another friend built a system with the 6600gt and the nvidia out runs it like lightning

lol another similar thread on x700 or 6600gt. The choice is definately 6600gt because u can easily oc it, it has sm3 supported and also included some other cool techs which can outperforms x700.
Don't worry i ordered one from Newegg 4 days ago, and i haven't received it yet

SM3 doesnt mean much right now, not sure if it will anytime soon. Get the 6600GT for sure though.
