amd/64 3200 overclocks - Page 22

post #211 of 471
iv got mine running at 25c idle and not much over 40c full load with the help of an Artic Cooling freezer 64pro. i know my oc isnt that big, and im hoping for 2.6 (which i doubt i`ll get because of the ram) but until i can afford water cooling i think i`ll be sticking with this one.

What is ya max voltage available for CPU with that mobo. If you can't get around the 1.7vcore mark you might run into a few problems. Good work so far mate
Welcome to the forum and enjoy your stay

1.55 on the Premium board. He will most definitely run into temp problems at 1.7Vcore on Air cooling.

Don't worry. I got up to 2.75ghz stable when I had a Big Typhoon. (1.55Vcore)

When i try to raise my HTT to anything above 203, my computer will not boot. I've tried upping the voltage to 1.55v and i upped the Dimm voltage +.2v. I tired lowering the CPU multiplier to 6x. NOTHING WORKS

Memory Timings:
Frequency= 204
FSBRAM= CPU/10
CAS# Latency= 2.5
RAS# to CAS# Delay= 3
RAS# Precharge 3
Cycle Time (Tras)= 7
Bank Cycle Time (Trc)= 7
DRAM Idle TImer= 16

Using a Gigabyte GA-K8N-SLI mobo, stock cooling, 1024 ram (PC3200 dual 256 and a PC2700 512).

Almost guarantee it's the ram holding you back. Take out one of the sticks and run single channel. It should boot for you then.
